edible chicago -- day 1

tips: ordering take out is the best way to go. it only takes 25 minutes for a deep dish pizza as opposed to a possible 1-2hr wait for a table. we did this frequently to save us some time. 

we left sunny 75 degree california weather and landed in gloomy and rainy chicago.


giordano`s -- supreme pizza.
soggy bottom, VERY cheesy, toppings skimped. 

brunch time -- yolk

yolk -- smoked salmon egg benedict. 

yolk -- tour de france. 

yolk -- banana granola multigrain pancakes.

xoco by rick bayless -- torta pepita. 

xoco by rick bayless -- fresh made churros. 

xoco by rick bayless -- fresh made churros dipped in melted chocolate

kuma burger -- led zeppelin w/ bbq pulled pork and bacon ! 

it was a mouthful. 
urban belly -- rice cake w/ chicken katsu and mangos. 
great sea chinese -- the "san tung" chicken. 
the signature lounge  -- strawberry daiquiri and yuzu lemonade.
(best view of chicago in the ladies room. )
the signature lounge -- my fav tiramisu thus far.. 


friday itinerary:
